What is the chemical compound of P2NP?
A crystalline, pale yellow powder with a distinct odour. P2NP can be obtained by reacting benzaldehyde with nitroethane in the presence of an alkaline catalyst.

Application of P2NP
Used in some countries mainly for the production of compounds used to treat, for example, ADHD. P2NP can also be reduced to phenylacetate, which is a precursor to methamphetamine and related compounds. The substance is also used to produce laboratory chemicals.

Effects on the body
May cause respiratory irritation. Has a corrosive effect, irritating the skin. May cause serious eye damage after eye contact. P2NP is harmful if swallowed. Has a toxic effect on internal organs.
First aid
After eye contact, rinse abundantly with water. If wearing contact lenses, remove them and continue to rinse.
If P2NP has gotten on the skin, wash the area generously with soap and rinse with water. Remove contaminated clothing.
If swallowed, rinse mouth with plenty of water. If you feel unwell, contact a poison centre. If breathing is difficult, call a doctor.
